French prankster Rémi Gaillard gets a cast of increasingly ridiculous characters to cross the street.
Israeli group Shuk.Li held a similar event recently in Tel Aviv. Except this time, the characters fought each other, Street Fighter style. (And for some reason Patrick Ewing is one of the fighters.)

I don’t think I would have taken it as well as some of the victims did. As entertaining as it is to watch this on the internet, when I’m trying to get somewhere, I would find it quite rude for pedestrians to block the road for two minutes (and leave a sign blocking it longer) just for their own amusement.
In the case of the Shuk.Li group the purpose was entirely opposite: To entertain the drivers having to wait an extremely long 3.5-minute red light.
The Galliard prank had me laughing out loud. It was perfectly realized.
