Helmut Smits figured out a way to add a “dead pixel” to Google Earth. He created a 82 x 82cm burned square, the size of one pixel from an altitude of one kilometer.

Nice touch, but how does he know that his dead pixel is aligned with google earths pixels? If it isn’t he will end up with up to four badly wouunded pixels instead of the one dead… which of course isn’t nearly as funny!
benny’s response is even more funny than smits artwork
I’ve always wanted to put a cardboard cutout of myself naked on my roof just to screw with people wanting to check out my neighbourhood from Google Earth.
This is an ok concept (assuming the once every ~5 year photograph is taken before the grass grows back out) but I agree, Benny’s question is funnier than the prank.
